My Kid Wants to Start a Business
TL;DR EGF & GF offer a program called Kidpreneur! contact Jill at the DDA to learn when the next session starts.
The Kidpreneur Program is a chance for young people under the age of 18 to who want to start a business or currently own a business. This partnership between UND’s Center for Innovation and the Downtown Development Association helps provide these youth with training and education on entrepreneurship as well as the ability to promote their business to more than 40,000 people at the Downtown Street Fair.
The two-day camp will take place at the UND Center for Innovation and is tailored for anyone under the age of 18 in Grand Forks who is interested in entrepreneurship. This program is designed to grow the entrepreneurial mindset in youth and give them hands-on experiences and practical knowledge about starting and running their own business.
In this unique opportunity, children who complete the camp will have the chance to showcase their skills and sell their products at a free booth during the Downtown Street Fair in Grand Forks.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to register their children early, as spaces for the camp are limited. The camp is free of charge, thanks to the generous sponsorship of the UND Center for Innovation, which committed to fostering the growth of entrepreneurship in North Dakota.
